Sounds

by the Softdisk Staff

Do you have a sound card (such as a SoundBlaster) and sound driver installed in your Windows? Do you have the Windows sound driver to let you play sounds on the regular PC speaker? If you do, you may be able to listen to and use these Wave files. Wave files are simply digitized sounds. They can be used for audio feedback to standard system messages in Windows, or just for fun, even if you don't use Windows!

There is an Install button on the issue's Launch Pad (press ALT+TAB to load it) that will place the sound files in the appropriate Windows directory for use. Windows 95 users can simply click the Launch Pad icon on the Task Bar.

To play a sound file: LEFT CLICK the sound name. Be sure to close the sound box after it plays. Click the "How To Use" button at the botom of this page to learn how to load the sounds in your system.
